years she noticed that the elders in Romania used special plants for treating various diseases and managed to generally slow down the aging process. Her trust in natural medicine quickly developed. She was always attracted to ancient medicine and wanted to become a doctor in traditional medicine in order to combine the past and present - allopathic and traditional medicine into one discipline.
While attending the International Conference of Traditional Medicine in Budapest, Hungary in 1992, she met Sir Lord Anton Jayasuria, a Buddhist master and one of the world’s foremost acupuncturists. After telling him of her desire to learn more about the mysteries of nature and acupuncture, he invited her to study at his temple on Mount Lavinia in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Simu was assimilated into the culture within the temple and began to work with the monks under the supervision of Sir Lord Anton Jayasuria. Dr. Simu remained at the temple for a year and traveled there many times over the next 2 years. While there, she noticed that many of the monks looked very young. Slowly over time, Lord Anton began to teach her about various plants that had the power to heal. She began using some of these plants herself and after the first year when she returned to Romania her friends and family were amazed at the change in her skin; she looked much younger, as if time had stopped for a while.
Soon after her return to Romania, Dr. Simu began formulating a cream that would dramatically increase elasticity of the skin and diminish the appearance of cellulite. Working with some of the plants she had learned about in Sri Lanka, she combined her understanding of their healing power along with her medical knowledge and managed to develop the best natural plant blend possible.
Over the next four years, while at the University of Medicine and Pharmacology in Cluj, she conducted a major study using variations of her cream on 2500 women. During the time of this study, she perfected her formula and detailed her findings. The results of the study were phenomenal, to say the least.
The study revealed an 80% success rate with her homeopathic cream. With the encouraging results from this proprietary formulation, more research was necessary, but time was becoming a scarce commodity for Dr. Simu. In 1997, she gave up her position with the university to further her studies of natural medicine abroad.
After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Simu received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Doctor of Homeopathy in 2001 and 2002. Currently, Dr. Simu resides in Waterloo, Ontario, with her family where she continues with her work on other homeopathic formulations designed to improve our collective quality of life.
